Jacob spoke words into the life of his children when he was about to die. Unfortunately, to his firstborn Reuben, it was negative words that found expression over his life. Though he was the first born, his life did not reflect it. Though he was the head, but he turned out like the tail. Words spoken have the power to alter the course of a man’s life.
If you study bible very well, the Reuben clan was not as important as that of his younger siblings like Judah, Levi and Joseph. Thank God for Moses who reversed the negative words with God’s word. He killed the negative words and the life of Reuben took a turn for the better.
Jesus was declared to be the word in John chapter 1. As powerful as blessing is, it must be expressed in words. The same thing goes for a curse.
Both blessing and cursing must be spoken for them to be activated.
That’s why Job 22:29, the scripture declares, “You shall decree a thing and it will be established” Also the bible declares in Colossians 4:6, “Let your words always be with grace, seasoned with salt…”. Your words carry so much power to change and turn things around.
Confessions
I am blessed and not cursed. I am above and not beneath. I neutralize and reverse every negative word spoken over my life, even from generations past by the power of the word of God. No curse is permitted to function in my life henceforth. I am blessed, blessed and blessed in Jesus name.
